Operation Christmas Child shoebox season is here! We would love for you to join with this ministry and pack a shoebox! Or two… or three… 😊
Boxes will be available to pick up at the church beginning Sunday, October 22nd
Here are some specific instructions for Harrisburg Christian Church
- Decide if you will fill a box for a BOY or a GIRL – and then choose the age category. Mark the enclosed label and apply to the box.
- Remember to include an age appropriate “WOW” item, personal care items, school supplies, toys, a personal note and maybe even a picture. You can use this link to search for more specific ideas:

As you pack the box, pray for the child who will be receiving it. Keep the enclosed bookmark as a reminder to pray for the child who will receive your box.
Use the two rubber bands provided to close the box. Please DO NOT tape the box shut.
Harrisburg Christian Church will pay the postage for each box and activate the tracking (so we know where our boxes are distributed!). Last year our boxes went to Ukraine!
Please do NOT include: Candy, toothpaste, gum, used or damaged items, war related items such as toy guns, knives, or military figures, chocolate or food, seeds, fruit rolls or other fruit snacks, drink mixes (powdered or liquid), liquids or lotions, medications or vitamins, breakable items such as snow globes or glass containers, aerosol cans.
Return your filled box to Harrisburg Christian Church any time before Sunday, November 12th, 2023.

This year marks 30 years of Operation Christmas Child!
The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world.
Through this project, Samaritan’s Purse partners with the local church worldwide to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and make disciples of the nations.
“Let the children come to Me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God.” Mark 10:14, ESV
National Collection Week is November 13-20, 2023. HCC will be a community drop-off site.
Our location will be available to receive shoeboxes packed in our area. We will have several volunteer opportunities.
